Blether and a Brew (as part of Porty Pride)
New for this year! Sanctuary Queer Arts and LGBT Health & Wellbeing have come together to bring you a Blether and a Brew. A Blether and a Brew is your warm, welcoming post Tea Dance retreat - a space to sip a cuppa, have a wee blether, and just be yourself. Nestled in the heart of Porty Pride, its a chance to meet new pals, share stories, and reflect on what makes a space truly safe and affirming. Whether you’re here to unwind, connect or learn more about building and protecting safe spaces in your community the Brew is here for you - full of kindness, conversation and of course, plenty of tea.
LGBT Health and Wellbeing have been working with the LGBTQ+ community in Scotland for more than 20 years, providing services, support and social stuff. We love helping to create welcoming and affirmative spaces for LGBTQ+ folk. Supporting our community’s health and wellbeing throughout their life means we can work together for an equal future where we can all thrive.
Launched in September 2020, Sanctuary is an arts organisation for LGBTQIA+ folk in Scotland. Our hope is to add solace, stimulation and safety for queer people and allies in Scotland. We’re passionate about amplifying LGBTQIA+ voices. We do this by creating artistic development opportunities for queer performance makers (of all ages and experience) and bringing the community together for events, workshops, performances and celebrations.
